Full-Time Fixed-Term Contract April Start
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Welling is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team full-time from April on a fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupil progress and contributing meaningfully to classroom learning across the school.
The Role
- Work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, while also leading whole-class sessions where required.
- Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting small groups and individual pupils to accelerate progress
- Assisting with planning and preparation of learning activities
- Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs
- Contributing to assessment and pupil progress tracking
Requirements
Applicants should:
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Have experience working within a primary school setting
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
- Have GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or recognised equivalents
- Be confident leading whole-class learning
