Job Description

Head of Construction Education and Curriculum
Location: Kent
Working: Full Time, On-Site
Salary: Up to £74,000

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days)

Home-based with regional travel requirements

Role Overview:
In this hands-on role, you will oversee the delivery of construction education, managing curriculum development, quality assurance, and budgetary control. You will lead a team, including Programme Managers and the Delivery Team, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and assessment in both apprenticeship and commercial programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead curriculum management and support teams
Implement strategies to deliver high-quality, industry-relevant construction training
Ensure compliance with Ofsted and other industry standards
Manage the delivery of apprenticeship and commercial programmes
Build and maintain relationships with key employers and stakeholders

Essential Requirements:

A construction-related background with relevant qualifications
In-depth knowledge of Construction Education training programmes
Strong understanding of funding rules for apprenticeships
Proven track record of managing performance through people
Level 5 teaching qualification
Extensive experience in educational leadership, including multi-site operations
Proven ability to deliver curriculum efficiencies and drive high performance
Excellent team leadership and problem-solving skills
Desirable:

Degree or higher qualification in a relevant subject
Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
Special Requirements:
Enhanced DBS check
Full driving licence
Flexibility with working hours and the ability to travel across the UK as required
