A reputable and dynamic Primary school in Islington is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons across various subjects and year groups.
- Support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to help with understanding and engagement.
- Work with students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are fully included in classroom activities.
- Help with lesson preparation, including setting up classroom resources and materials.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and behaviour.
- Supervise students during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Carry out administrative tasks related to teaching and the classroom.
Ideal Candidate:
- Recent graduate with a strong academic background (Degree required, Education-related fields desirable but not essential).
- Passionate about working with young people and committed to making a difference in their educational journey.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is preferred.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable to the changing needs of the classroom.
- Previous experience working in a school environment is advantageous but not essential.
