EYFS Teaching assistant needed
Academics are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly nursery class within a welcoming primary school based in the Staffordshire Moorlands. This is a supply position starting after half term, with the potential for extension beyond January.
The successful candidate will support the class teacher in creating a positive, nurturing learning environment, assisting with both small-group and individual activities to help pupils develop their early learning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development
Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
Assist with setting up and tidying away learning materials and resources
Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Requirements:
- Experience working within an Early Years or Nursery setting
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Childcare qualification (preferred)
- A kind, patient and proactive attitude
- A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
