INTRO
V Selective are recruiting on behalf of an Ofqual recognised Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). As an organisation they are committed to quality, and deliver a rigorous apprenticeship end point assessment service. Their service helps to ensure that apprentices, working within a range of industries, are able to do the job they are trained for. .
We are looking for Technical Experts and End Point Assessors to support the development, delivery and assessment of Wind Turbine Technican Apprenticeships (a specific pathway of the MOET standard).
If working as an EPA you will carry out assessments of Wind Turbine Technician Apprentices, including practical observations and technical interviews. You’ll play a vital role in validating skills and knowledge.
If working as a Technical Expert, your experiecne will be utlised to provide up-to-date industry expertise to help the organisation to develop assessments and guidance.
STANDARD - MOET L3 - WIND TURBINE TECHNICIAN STANDARD
Wind Turbine Technicians install, assemble and dismantle wind turbine plant and equipment, which will include pitch systems, yaw systems, switchgear, control systems to agreed specifications. They carry out planned, unplanned and preventative maintenance procedures on wind turbine plant and equipment including mechanical drive systems. They replace, repair or remove components in wind turbine plant and equipment and ensure its return to operational condition. They diagnose and determine the cause of faults in wind turbine plant and equipment
THE ROLE
The role is offered on a generous Zero Hours Contract, which includes pension contributions. The hours available vary dependent on demand, and you always have a choice to accept assignments based on their availability. This role may be undertaken complementary to an existing substantive position with the permission of your current employer or within a wider portfolio of activities.
The role will be home-based with travel to conduct assessments. If solely working as a Technical Expert no travel will be required.
Upon taking assignments from the Service Delivery team, you will deliver end-point assessment for the relevant apprenticeship standard and assessment method you are approved for.
You will undertake (remotely or directly) development ot end point assessment activities (which may include practical observations and technical interviews), awarding a preliminary grade and ensuring that all assessment decisions are fair, objective, free of bias and based on all relevant evidence presented.
You will accurately record the outcomes of all end point assessment activity using assessment material submitting these records within required timescales.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Assessor qualification is desirable
