The position entails conducting work-based assessments, fostering the development of aspiring engineers across various environments, and guiding their advancement toward agreed-upon learning objectives, skill enhancements, and quality benchmarks. Responsibilities:
- Ensure learners progress effectively from diverse starting points, achieving or surpassing expected standards for their respective levels.
- Aid learners in obtaining pertinent qualifications, facilitating their transition to higher education courses and job roles that fulfil local and national demands.
- Utilise assessment data to devise tailored teaching and learning methods, pinpointing learners who may lag behind or require extra assistance to ensure their steady progress and academic success.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners and, when applicable, ensure parents, guardians, and employers grasp how learners can enhance their performance and contribute to their improvement.
- Engage with parents, guardians, and employers to provide insight into learners' progress vis-à-vis expected standards and outline actionable steps for improvement.
- Administer offsite assessments aligned with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours outlined in the apprenticeship standard.
Skills:
- Possession of assessor qualification or readiness to pursue certification.
- Proficiency at Level 2 in Mathematics.
- Proficiency at Level 2 in English.
- Vocational qualification at Level 3 or higher.
