Job Description

OVERVIEW

We are recruiting a Part Time Employer Engagement Manager for specialist Training Provider in East London, who have more than twenty years’ experience in delivering and supporting education and work opportunities. As an organisation they run vocational study programmes, apprenticeships, traineeships and adult learning courses.

The focus of the role is to promote supported internships and to build a base of employers across all sectors to provide placements for supported interns.

The role is 21 hours per week with a pro rata of annual salary FTE £38,000 (actual salary £22,800) . As Employer Engagement Manager, you will receive a bonus of £300 for each successfully funded supported internship placement .

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
  • Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area
  • Experience of working in employer engagement

The Role:

  • Promote the supported internship offer and to build a base of employers across all sectors to provide placements for supported interns
  • Work with the supported internship manager and senior SEND manager to ensure high quality placement matches between candidates and employers 
  • To update the management system Salesforce as required
  • To lead on all employer related administration and paperwork including contracts, H&S, administration of employer contributions and employer surveys
  • To ensure that employers comply with health and safety, safeguarding and duty of care responsibilities, and complete required documentation to meet funding contractual requirements
  • To work with the wider employer engagement team to share contacts and resources as appropriate 
  • To fully understand the supported internship programme including funding and support arrangements
  • To support employer awareness regarding SEND learners and their needs in the workplace
  • To be aware of and support learners and employers with Access to Work applications 
  • To build relationships with job coaches and support staff to ensure learners and employers are supported 
  • Organise employer events, webinars, and networking opportunities to raise awareness of the supported internship programme
  • Work with the senior SEND manager to ensure that there is a pipeline of applications from eligible young people.
