Employability Tutor (Derby / Nottingham / Chesterfield)
Salary: Negotiable up to £29k
INTRO
Opportunity to join an award winning training provider as an Employability Tutor, where you provide employment support and tailored training to all learners accessing the training centres. You will create new delivery modules and courses to address the local needs of employers and learners.
The role can be based from either Derby, Chesterfield or Nottingham and will involve working / teaching across all 3 centres ... so a Car and Driving License are essential.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking an inspiring and engaging tutor who ideally meets the following criteria:
- AET/ PTLLS qualified
- Experience of teaching groups
- Experienced in preparing session plans
- Knowledge of welfare to work sector
- ECDL or equivalent
- Knowledge of the local labour market
- Able to motivate and inspire learners
- Good communication skills
- Experience of working to targets
- Experience of job matching clients.
THE ROLE
- Produce quality approved schemes of work, session plans and delivery resources as required for class room led sector and employer led courses
- Delivery of quality facilitation, teaching, learning and assessment that encourages and motivates learners to remain on provision
- Develop new course material to meet the needs of the learners and local labour market
- Support learners one to one with their employability needs
- Ensure learner files meets contractual compliance
- Enrol learners for any required external exams / Invigilate learners’ exams/tests
- Maintain awarding bodies records
- Ensure learners have access to up to date job vacancies / Intensive support for learners with all jobsearch activity
- Job match learners to suitable vacancies and placements and liaise with Employer Engagement Team/Job Brokers
- Carry out learner reviews at milestones
