£11.68-£12.80 ph (Salary is dependant on experience and / or qualification)

The school and role

A 2 from entry primary school in Middleton, are seeking an engaging and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team. The appointed Teaching Assistant will benefit from working alongside experienced members of staff and lots of opportunities for professional development. The successful Teaching Assistant will be a passionate and proactive individual, capable of building good relationships with pupils and staff. You must have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be able to work with the class teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment. This is a part time role that will naturally increase in hours as the child becomes more settled into the mainstream life.

Requirements The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Have experience working in Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required
