Early-years Teaching Assistant
Start Date: After October Half Term
Location: Croydon
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)
Contract: Temp to Perm
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at an Ofsted Good and inclusive primary academy in Croydon.
About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to support our youngest learners in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work alongside the class teacher to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment where children can grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting children's learning through play and planned activities.
Assisting with the daily routines of the Early Years setting, including toileting and mealtimes.
Helping to create an engaging, language-rich learning environment.
Observing and recording children's progress in line with the EYFS framework.
Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Supporting children with additional needs as required.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a genuine passion for early years education and child development.
Is nurturing, energetic, and committed to supporting young children's learning.
Has a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child-led learning.
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Early Years or Childcare - desirable).
Has experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or school setting.
