Founded in 1999, SCL Education Group is one of the UK's largest providers of education and skills training within the sports, leisure  and dance and arts sector.  Our delivery ranges from inspirational sports education and holiday clubs for school children, to providing further education to young people in our sporting academies as well as apprenticeships for adult learners across 100 industries nationally.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • To develop and deliver an annual plan linked to the project and product strategic plan/priorities that includes the review, re-development, development, and research required for the SCL education portfolio.
  • To identify and submit recommendations and business cases for review, redevelopment, and development requests for SCL Education products in line with company and strategic priority requirements.
  • To effectively source, commission and manage subject specialists whilst negotiating effectively to achieve ambitions.
  • Lead a team of product and content developers in line with strategic projects and product development plans.
  • Develop and present evidence-based strategies to aid curriculum development and innovation in teaching and learning across the group.
  • Coordinate central and group support functions to enable organisation wide alignment with product development and innovation, including Compliance, Quality Assurance and improvement, Marketing, Account Managers, and Business Change amongst others.
  • To be responsible for and manage the preparation, revision, and resubmission of evidence, including specifications, to meet company, regulatory and stakeholder requirements.
  • Review, analyse and assess critical education policy, research and publications to ensure SCL is at the forefront of the further education and skills landscape.
