Director – Land Based (Green Skills)
£53,245-£63,178pa inclusive of London Weighting. Salary based on Leadership and Management scale
Full Time, Permanent - 36 hours, 52 weeks per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Studies – Land Based (Green Skills). The scope of this role will be to manage a newly created Directorate comprising the Schools of Horticulture and Garden Design, Arboriculture, Agriculture and Environmental Conservation, Floristry and Balloon Artistry.
Capel Manor College has a well-established reputation for delivering high quality courses in these specialist ‘Green Skills’ areas. Capel’s course tutors have exceptional skills with extensive knowledge and experience of their industries.
Students have access to 30 acres of gardens at our Enfield campus as well as wonderful plant collections and open spaces at Regent’s Park, Gunnersbury Park, Crystal Palace Park and Mottingham to provide inspiration throughout their studies.
Our courses give young people and adults the opportunity to gain nationally and internationally recognised qualifications with the prospect of progressing to further study, higher education, employment or starting their own business venture whilst learning in a unique and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will lead, develop, manage and co-ordinate the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective curriculum areas which progress towards and achieve the College’s strategic and operational objectives.
The ideal candidate will be innovative and have experience of strong industry links and developing new partnerships and creating opportunity for sponsorship, with extensive knowledge of leading and managing a range of curriculum specialisms in Further Education. They will be able to expand and promote the provision by highlighting the amazing achievements of our students at national shows, exhibitions, industry awards, associated LEP’s and awarding bodies.
