Job Title: Construction Trainer

Our client, the UK’s largest training provider in the construction sector, is looking for a skilled and passionate Construction Trainer. The role involves delivering a mix of classroom and hands-on training sessions that cover Construction Theory and Health and Safety. These short-term courses, lasting 2 to 4 weeks, are designed to equip learners with essential skills and knowledge for entry-level roles in the construction industry. The successful candidate will need to travel across various centres within the Nottingham area.

Key Duties:

• Conduct interactive training sessions aligned with the curriculum to ensure learners gain practical construction skills and safety knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, including assessment results and personal development plans.
• Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to learners, identifying areas for improvement and offering constructive feedback.
• Guide learners on their career paths, advising them on further opportunities and qualifications.
• Ensure all training complies with relevant regulations, funding requirements, and quality standards.
• Oversee the assessment of learners' work, including reviewing and verifying e-portfolios to confirm qualification attainment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A teaching qualification such as PTLLS, Level 3 AET, or an equivalent certification.
• Experience as an Assessor or relevant qualification in assessing learners.
• A Level 3 qualification in construction or equivalent experience in the field.
• Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (or higher).
• Proven background in delivering construction training, preferably within a classroom setting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of learners.
• Strong IT literacy, especially in managing learner records and e-portfolios.
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under pressure.
• A proactive, positive approach to teaching, with a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
