Protocol are proudly working with a leading provider of education & training in Greater Manchester to recruit for a Specialist Maths and English Assessment Tutor.

The successful candidate will be required to work 25 hours per week (timetable tbc) with 3 days worked across 3 college sites and the rest to be performed remotely.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification related to teaching SEN students, with previous experience of this kind of teaching.

𝑹𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔

* Delivery one to one or small group teaching of English and Maths to learners with a range of additional support needs.
* To plan and prepare lessons
* To mark students work
* To effectively plan, prepare in a timely manner and teach on a range of courses, to mark and assess students work including examinations.
* As part of effective planning develop schemes of work, lesson and assessment plans where appropriate ensuring schemes of work incorporate Equality & Diversity, English & Maths, * Differentiation (support, stretch & challenge), Safeguarding, World of Work/Employability and Information & Learning Technologies Opportunities.
* To maximise learner recruitment, retention and success through the provision of an outstanding educational experience which enable learners to maximise their potential.
* To deliver outstanding courses which meet learner needs, use a range of diverse teaching and learning strategies, allow learners to access a comprehensive range of resources and provide comprehensive assessment opportunities.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 & 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔
* Hold a recognised teaching qualification
* A qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties or Additional Learning Needs
* Experience of teaching within the curriculum area (Maths and English)
* Experience of teaching learners with additional needs
* Experience of creating and using adapted teaching methods to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
* Numeracy and literacy skills at Level 2 or a willingness to work towards
* The ability to inspire, motivate and develop the capabilities of learners resulting in the delivery of outcomes
