Working for a small and growing training provider can be quite demanding. You have to wear multiple hats at any one point. You can go from setting out long term strategies, to handling employer relationships. Handling delivery requirements with your team, to all hands on deck, we’ve got this bid to submit. It’s certainly a dynamic role, especially in a senior role.

However, it can also be extremely rewarding. Seeing the team develop and grow, seeing the impact your are having on the learners and employers in which your working with. Spent all that funding successfully and to high quality? Brilliant, now we can get more.

Available due to growth, you will be reporting directly into the Skills Director, and will have operational control over the day to day. This means everything from the above – Working with the Quality Manager and IQA to manage performance and recruitment of your delivery team (mix of perm and freelance), performance managing the Learner recruitment team (this is a big part), you’ll also be client facing. You’ll be a key point of contact in the relationships with employers both current and new, plus other stakeholders such as recruitment companies and funding partners. Relationships will be a big part of this role.

The ITP are connected to a national recruitment firm, so are very well connected. They already have some fantastic employer relationships in the North East, which massively helps with learner attraction. Their main area of training is Warehouse & Logistics, but also do some healthcare and recruitment.
Mainly it’s classroom based AEB/SSU funded programmes, which currently sit at a value of circa £750k per year. This needs to be fulfilled and delivered on in order to continue the growth.

They also have a smaller Apprenticeship provision, that needs support and guidance.

In terms of location, you will find yourselves between the M’boro and Newcastle offices, but you can choose which is your main ‘base’.

A big thing we are looking for is a strong performer for this role. You’ll be experienced in handling AEB/SSU or equivalent contracts, and the subsequent spend and performance of said contracts.
