Protocol are pleased to present the opportunity for a skilled Site Carpentry Lecturer to join a dedicated team of staff on a modern college campus in West Yorkshire from January 2021 for a long-term position.

This FE provider recognises that dedication to their staff, working both in and out of the classroom, is crucial to ensuring that their learners achieve their full potential. They are seeking to include a proactive and enthusiastic individual in their mission to be an outstanding provider of vocational qualifications.

The right candidate will be available on a part-time (or near to full-time) basis to deliver Site Carpentry to Level 2 & 3 students. In return you will receive a competitive hourly rate and benefit from a thorough induction, supportive and inclusive faculty and access to amenities on the campus and close by in the town centre. This college is keen to hear from candidates with excellent communication skills and a keen ability to enthuse and inspire students throughout their courses.

The hours of the role are as follows; Monday from 09:00 to 17:30 (8 hours), Wednesday from 09:00 to 16:30 (7 hours) and Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 (7.5 hours). There are also extra hours available on a Tuesday and Thursday if you are looking for increased hours.

To teach Level 2-3 Site Carpentry curriculum
To plan and prepare lessons
To mark students work and measure their progress
Act as a personal tutor (as required)

* A UK teaching qualification
* A minimum level 3 qualification in Carpentry
* Previous experience teaching Site Carpentry
* Be committed to Safeguarding and Equality & Diversity
* A DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)
