Salary Range: Up to £14,797.65 pro rata per annum
(Based on Full-Time Equivalent range of up to £22,227 pro rata per annum) (Salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience)

Term Time Only Contracts will occur a salary adjustment if the start date is after 1st September

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time and Term-Time Only Hours: 30.75 hours per week and 36 weeks per year

SGS College have an exciting opportunity for an Education & Wellbeing Mentor at our Stroud campus.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

* To provide pastoral support sessions for learners identified as "at risk"

* To work collaboratively with stakeholders and enhance learner progress, achievement and wellbeing.

* To undertake the role of a College Safeguarding Officer and to follow processes and procedures as detailed in the College's 'Safeguarding Children, Young people and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure'.

* To participate in the organisation and delivery of relevant learner enrichment activities and group work programmes

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

* Full Level 3 Qualification and Level 2 Safeguarding Qualification/experience

* Experience of working with young people aged 14 + with emotional, social, mental health and wellbeing issues.

* High levels of personal integrity and respect for others.

* Positive and proactive in responding to the needs of the College, learners and other staff.
