Position: Health & Social Care Tutor
Salary: £20,000 to £25,000
Location: Leeds

Four and a half day working week, Monday to Thursday you will be planning and delivering highly engaging sessions to young adults, whilst helping them break down various barriers in order to help them improve and be in a better position for further education or employment.

Engagement and passion are key here. This is a classroom based role, where you will be working with 16-19 year olds who are undertaking study programmes to help them progress on to further education or a work placement. All delivery is up to level 2 at most, the young adults on these courses pose varying barriers, from lack of grades on compulsory education, to lack of confidence, difficult upbringing, to full exclusion from their school/college. You will be a vital figure for them over a short period of time to help them get back on track and progress to a stage where they are motivated to succeed in different avenues.

Monday to Thursday are your teaching days. You will be taking the learners through their programme with engaging sessions and one to one support to help them overcome their barriers and learning difficulties.

We do need you to be qualified with a teaching qualification (QTLS, PTTLS, PGCE etc) and also be occupational competent to deliver the programmes.

So far there’s a lot of giving, but what’s in it from you? 4 and a half day working week for starts, the centres shut down around 1pm each Friday. 28 days holiday, plus bank holidays, plus 2 week Christmas shut down, so holidays aren’t bad either. Healthcare, employee assistance programme, pension, as well as company events.
