City College, Southampton is looking for an inspirational, experienced lecturer to join its Health Science and Social care team. We are seeking to recruit a professional who is committed to contributing to an outstanding student experience in an ambitious department. Applicants must be able to teach across a range of different programmes and levels and ideally the candidate will have experience of teaching chemistry within programmes such as Forensic science and Access to Higher Education. Knowledge of subjects within a Criminology curriculum would be an advantage along with the flexibility to carry out some teaching within Early Years. The post is a minimum 0.5 depending on skills and experience.

You should hold a degree (or equivalent) and relevant experience, both in a related area. You will also possess a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert.Ed. DET).You should also be familiar with the current BTEC curriculums in Health & Social Care and we encourage applications from teachers with a broad range of disciplines both in practice and theory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an appreciation of the uses of IT are essential, as is a commitment to excellence.
