South Gloucestershire & Stroud College has an excellent reputation for delivering further education and work-based programmes in a range of subjects - from business to sport, engineering to media, GCSE's and A Levels to degree level courses.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic PR and Marketing Officer to join our fast-paced marketing team to drive awareness of South Gloucestershire and Stroud College and engage with key internal and external audiences.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree or equivalent level of experience. They will have good understanding of PR and general Marketing. Creativity along with strong copy writing and content development skills are essential for this role.

Key tasks include:

- Build and maintain relationships with key staff across all SGS campuses to successfully develop and maintain necessary processes to support internal stories. Ensure there is a clear media liaison channel and process.

- Ensure that all communication, internal and external is of an appropriately high standard and consistent with SGS College's brand and key messages

- Where reliant Interview staff/students/businesses and write news releases, articles, editorials, publications and other written communications pieces directed to external audiences and distribute to targeted media in line with the PR and Communications strategy.

- To regularly secure editorial space, digital and printed, promoting the variety of SGS College activities in local, regional and national media, trade press and other relevant publications and channels.

- Engage and grow our active social media community across all channels especially Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin

- Develop and execute engaging content for social media taking into account different content forms depending on platform and target audience.
