Teacher in Mathematics

Salary: £23,154 - £31,482 (FTE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Maths team, delivering GCSE Maths and Functional skills maths/award in maths (initially 0.8). This opportunity will enable the successful candidate to work with study programme students on GCSE maths course of study and working with adults studying low level maths to Functional skills level 2. A great and varied work experience including working one evening during the week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment to 16-19 year old students and adults, to maximise achievement and the improvement of skills. Good motivational and classroom management skills are essential. An ability to manage time effectively to complete workload and achieve Key Performance Indicators is required, as are flexibility and being receptive to new ideas and approaches.

The successful candidate will be a level 5 qualified teacher (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, QTLS), preferably with a minimum level 3 subject specific qualification in maths.
