INTRO

This is an exciting Business Development vacancy, working for a leading Training Provider who specialise in providing Employer solutions through various programmes including Apprenticeships.

The Business Development Managers will be responsible for maximising contracts by engaging employers to secure opportunities for their existing employees or candidates provided by the organisation.

KEY DUTIES

  • Identify and engage with Levy paying Employers for the generation of Learner starts for a wide suite of Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Generate own leads via field sales, cold calling, networking and presentations to secure new employer accounts and promote our client as the Training Provider of choice.
  • Proactively promote the orgnaisations' recruitment, training and development programmes through identifying, engaging and securing new business via outbound sales calls, presentations and face to face meetings 
  • Develop and grow new business pipeline to meet monthly targets and maintain individual sales records and reports ensuring personal performance is in line with agreed KPI’s at all times 
  • Support a team of Business Advisors in achievement of individual, contractual and team targets. 
  • Undertake H&S assessments of employer premises prior to the commencement of training activity 
  • Advise employers on available government funding to support the employment and skills development of existing and new staff with the outcome to secure new and repeat apprenticeship opportunities 
  • Attend appropriate networking and employer events to develop new opportunities this may require you to work early mornings and evenings 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Proven experience of securing Levy Employer accounts within the Apprenticeship Training sector is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Apprenticeship funding and the Levy.
  • Used to working towards and hitting targets 
  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills 
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills 
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and targets 
  • Confident, professional with a positive attitude 
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer service
