Learner Support Mentor - Technical IT - London mainly but will consider candidates around the UK for remote delivery - £35k - £38k (DOE & qualifications), mileage paid 45p per mile / Up to 25 days’ paid holiday (plus an extra day to support your chosen charity), time off over Christmas, an annual bonus (depending on business performance), working equipment, pension scheme, life assurance, healthcare.

The Role: Learner Support Mentor - Technical IT

• We are looking for an IT Support Mentor to coach and assess apprentices on technical IT-based apprenticeship programmes.
• Working remotely, you will be a sole point of contact for both learner and employer throughout the apprenticeships, working with both large and SME companies, ensuring that the apprentice is fully supported in building their portfolio and progressing towards their endpoint assessment.
• You will be responsible for managing the progression of your caseload in a timely manner, updating learner records, organising training and taking overall responsibility for the learner journey for the apprentices on your caseload / within your designated region.
• The successful candidate will come from an IT background (Infrastructure, Networks, Software developing and testing etc.). To fully support learners on IT programmes, you'll ensure easy access to learning resources for the apprentices when needed and strengthen employer relationships through effective account management and learner support.
• A DBS check prior to commencement of role is required.

Essential Requirements: Learner Support Mentor - Technical IT

• Strong IT/telecoms background (Infrastructure, Networking, Hard / Software development etc.)
• Good understanding of apprenticeship standards
• Good understanding of Ofsted & awarding body criteria
• Hold full drivers license with vehicle and willingness to travel
• Experience in distance learning/support

Desirables: Learner Support Mentor - Technical IT

• IT Degree
• Assessor (TAQA, A1, CAVA) OR IV (V1, D34, IQA) Quals would be a bonus
