Maths Teacher - Curriculum Leader - Head of Maths - Havering School - April 2020  


An exceptional Maths Teacher  is required as Curriculum Leader of Mathematics. This is for a 'Good' Havering School. This role is for April 2020.

CRS Education are working with a 'Good' Havering School who are looking for an outstanding Maths Teacher who also has strong leadership skills and is confident in their ability to lead a large team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and successful classroom practitioner teacher who has already gained some responsibility experience within a department. The ideal candidate will ready to progress into a Head of Maths role. You will not to have run a department before, but you should have a track record of good and outstanding practice as a Maths Teacher, with strong behaviour management, particularly at GCSE level. The ideal candidate will have raising attainment across all key stages at the forefront of their teaching philosophy. As Head of Maths the school will expect that you should already have the ability to create and lead a team of teachers, installing motivation and communicating good practice throughout the department.  CRS Education are looking for an exceptional practitioner who is results driven, data focused, resilient and ready to both challenge and support a team of Maths Teachers on your mission to achieve outstanding teaching across the department.

This is ideally a permanent position and the school would also consider Temp to Permanent applications.

Applications are welcome from qualified Maths Teacher who can effectively lead the subject across the secondary age range up to KS4. The successful teacher must have: 

·         A track record of teaching Maths within the curriculum 

·         An excellent knowledge and understanding of the value of using progress data on pupil performance to inform teaching and learning will be integral to driving student performance and attainment, along with delivering effective outcomes for all 

·         As a qualified Maths Teacher, you must be passionate about your subject and make good use of this passion to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities 

·         Be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent

·         Ability to lead a Maths Department up to Key Stage 4 

·         Have excellent inter-personal and organisational skills

·         Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management and committed to ensuring all students succeed and fulfill their potential 

·         Ability to demonstrate a range of innovative Teaching and Learning strategies 

·         Hold an Enhanced DBS (A full DBS check for the successful candidate)
