Business Development Manager (Apprenticeships)

INTRO

Our client is one of the East Midlands' leading Training Provider organisations, who specialise in providing Employer solutions through various programmes including Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

This organisation is currently going through an exciting period of growth, and as  part of this they have an an exciting new vacancy for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maximising contracts by engaging employers to secure opportunities for their existing employees or candidates provided by the organisation.

KEY DUTIES

  • Proactively promote the orgnaisations' recruitment, training and development programmes through identifying, engaging and securing new business via outbound sales calls, presentations and face to face meetings 
  • Develop and grow new business pipeline to meet monthly targets and maintain individual sales records and reports ensuring personal performance is in line with agreed KPI’s at all times 
  • Promoting of Digital Skills delivery across the D2N2 area 
  • Identify new business via daily cold calling and calling warm leads 
  • Support a team of Business Advisors in achievement of individual, contractual and team targets. 
  • Undertake H&S assessments of employer premises prior to the commencement of training activity 
  • Advise employers on available government funding to support the employment and skills development of existing and new staff with the outcome to secure new and repeat apprenticeship opportunities 
  • Attend appropriate networking and employer events to develop new opportunities this may require you to work early mornings and evenings 
  • Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector, particularly those which may impact on compliance 
  • Maintain effective relationships with all internal colleagues to ensure services are delivered to an excellent standard that will maximise opportunities to provide added value programmes and services 
  • Demonstration up to date understanding of all contracts, content and eligibility 
  • Keep up to date with Government, LEP and sector developments and priorities 
  • Provide regular and accurate activity reports 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Used to working towards and hitting targets 
  • Experience of working within work based learning would be ideal 
  • Experience of engaging with employers 
  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills 
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills 
  • To hold (or pass) an Enhanced DBS check 
  • Knowledge of DWP, ESF, ESFA and Match funded programmes desirable 
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and targets 
  • Confident, professional with a positive attitude 
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer service
