Due to ongoing expansion, this organisation has a new vacancy for a Food and Drink Operative Apprenticeship Skills Coach (Level 3 and Level 5) to join their team.
This is a home and field based role, traveling the location/s of the Apprentices. This role will mainly cover sites in London – Wembley and Feltham – so we are ideally seeking a London based candidate.
The Food and Drink Apprenticeships Skills Coach will be responsible for a caseload of Apprentice learners whom they will coach, train and monitor the learning and progression throughout the duration of programme.
 
THE ROLE

  • Deliver classroom-based and/or remote 1:1 sessions to Apprentices associated with their subject specialism against the Apprenticeship Programme and level
  • Continuously improve and update teaching resources within their remit and capabilities subject to internal quality assurance
  • Use a range of teaching and learning techniques
  • Provide Apprentices with support in the classroom and remotely on a 1:1 basis
  • Assess Apprentice achievements
  • Support and deliver functional skills English, ICT and maths at the appropriate level
  • Support Apprentices to achieve CMI qualification where appropriate
  • Ensure each Apprentice is following the agreed programme and schedule
  • Mentor Apprentices to achieve and learn professional skills required for the work place in line with the appropriate Apprenticeship Standard
  • Adapt delivery and assessment to meet the broad range of learning needs including the needs of those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
  • Monitor the progress of the Apprentices
  • Maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures relating to quality, compliance, management and assessment in line with AO, Apprenticeship Standards and all other regulatory requirements
  • Provide IAG at key points within the learning journey 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

  • Level 3 relevant Food and Drink qualification
  • Hold or be willing to work towards the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational (TAQA L3). A1 D32/33 acceptable providing practice/CPD is up to date.
  • GCSE Grade C or above English and maths
  • Knowledge of advanced food and drink processing principles – including good manufacturing processes (GMP), multi-stage operations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), stock control and waste minimisation (desirable)
  • Knowledge of advanced food and drink processing practices – including managing incidents, developing new products, implementing SOPs, routine and preventative maintenance and quality control testing (desirable)
  • Previous IQA experience and qualification(desirable)
  • Rated as ‘excellent’ as a Trainer evidenced by learner feedback (desirable)
  • Functional Skills English and maths Level 2 (desirable)
