Central Bedfordshire college has seen 43% growth over the last 3 years and due to the expansion of our engineering provision we are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individual to join our experienced and friendly engineering team.

As a Lecturer in Engineering you will manage and deliver Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical courses within the Technologies department.

With site across Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard the ideal candidate will be required to teach on a variety of different learning programmes.

Other responsibilities include assisting the Learning Area Manager, with the development of the Technologies area, as well as departmental duties and promotional activities.

It is desirable for the applicant to hold a teaching qualification and have some experience working as a teacher in FE with adults and 16-18 year olds. Where no formal teaching qualification is held the candidate must be prepared to work towards teacher qualified status. Recent industrial experience is an advantage but is not essential. The role may also suit a graduate with relevant qualifications.

Central to the work you do will be enabling students to aspire beyond their initial intention and reach a potential that equips them to progress into work, higher education or apprenticeships.
