Job Title:
 Assessor – Health and Social Care (Level 5) 

Location: Cambridgeshire & Essex - Must be flexible with travel

Salary: £27,500 - £28,500 (Dependent on qualifications and experience)

Duties include:

  • Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care up to level 5 via a blended learning approach (online and face to face). 
  • Provide additional support for the delivery of Functional Skills (Maths / English / ICT) up to Level 2.
  • Deliver teaching and learning through one to one tutorials, as well as group webinars.
  • Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence, and provide ongoing support throughout the diploma.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
  • Work to learner review and completion timescales.

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.
  • Recognised Teaching qualification: PTLLS/AET or equivalent.
  • Must hold own Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care. 
  • Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care up to Level 5..
  • Must hold solid occupational competency in Care Management (Health and Social Care - Elderly) e.g Registered Manager / Home Manager / Dom Care Manager.
  • Must have a good level of ICT skills, and willing to develop understanding of blended learning and learning technology.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours due to some learners working late shifts.

  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
