OVERVIEW

V Selective are recruiting on behalf of a Birmingham based Charity who provide high quality training, that includes Apprenticeships, and other programmes accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).  

They currently have a vacancy for a Programme Lead to join their Education and Training team. 

This position is initially offered on a 4 month fixed term contract, however there is potential for it to lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • A good understanding of Apprenticeship frameworks and standards.
  • A good understanding of Ofsted Common Inspection Framework and an ability to support delivery teams to achieve outstanding attainment
  • Good working knowledge of ESFA funding rules

JOB PURPOSE:

  • To be responsible for the successful operation and performance of apprenticeships and qualification programmes run by the training department. 
  • To contribute to delivering social impact to the lives of young people, community members and learners, and achieving a positive financial impact the organisation. 
  • To develop and manage the delivery of high-quality training programmes, accredited qualifications and apprenticeships on a commercial basis.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have operational responsibility for apprenticeships and qualifications delivered by the organisation.
  • Ensure the delivery of apprenticeship programmes and qualifications are successfully planned and delivered.
  • Ensure all teaching and assessment delivery is conducted at consistently outstanding levels and that learner progression is a priority focus of all activity, meeting learners as part of the programme management function.
  • Develop new training programmes including apprenticeships, housing qualifications and other courses.
  • Ensure learner experience, satisfaction and achievement is monitored and tracked effectively and monitor ILR data.
  • Line management of associate trainers / external resources. 
  • Use data to manage provision to drive-up achievement rates and narrow achievement gaps.
  • Ensure KPI’s and business objectives are achieved through participation and contribution to the board reporting process.
  • Management and, where required, delivery of the IQA and EQA processes.
  • Perform developmental and formal observations of tutors and support tutors to improve their practice.
  • Identify areas of improvement and best practice and implement change accordingly
  • Work closely with sales function to develop existing client accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with funding rules and awarding organisations.
  • Ensure compliance with all GDPR and external regulations.
  • Ensure data management systems are fully utilised, accurate and up to date, including the DAS and ILR systems.
  • Oversee the Apprenticeship QIP and SAR process.
  • To gain and maintain appropriate levels of accreditation for all courses with relevant accrediting bodies.
  • To arrange contractual documentation between partners, clients and associate tutors and assessors.
  • To ensure that coursework is marked, internally and externally verified, and appropriate certificates issued to all trainees.  
  • Monitor levels of customer satisfaction through setting up appropriate feedback mechanisms, ensuring that customer feedback is fed into future course design and strategic development.
  • Complete necessary regulatory and other returns ready for signature to all appropriate bodies.
  • Make recommendations for service development and strategic planning, where necessary to ensure the Association continues to meet the needs of its customers.
