Job Title: Mental Health Trainer (Trainee or Qualified Assessor)

Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 (up to £30,000 dependent on qualifications & experience)

To Apply, Trainee / Qualified Assessor applicants must meet the essential skills below;
(Full training and support will be given to Trainee candidates to achieve the Assessors award)

Essential Criteria:

  • Must be a Pinned / Registered Nurse.
  • Hold a minimum of 3 years solid occupational competency / hands on experience within Mental Health (e.g. Hospital / Secure Units) to management level, focusing on Mental Health patients.
  • Must have experience of completing Physiological Measurements (Blood Pressure, Body temperature, Heart Rate, Blood Sugar etc.
  • Confident with Maths and English – (grades C or above – or Key/Functional Skills at level 2)
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours due to some learners working late shifts and nights.

Duties:

  • Assess and support learners working towards qualifications within Adult Mental Health Care.
  • Deliver full training and support learners through their Functional Skills - Maths and English to level 2.
  • Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship/QCF qualifications.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
