Our client is a well-established Training Provider Organisation based in Nottingham. They offer a range of employment related training as well as Apprenticeships.
They currently have a new vacancy for an Animal Care Trainer to join their team in Nottingham.  They are seeking an Animal Care Trainer with the ability to guide and support others, supporting learners from diverse backgrounds, to maximise their potential, overcome barriers and gain work opportunities, apprenticeships or qualifications.

The role will be based from Nottingham, but may require some travel to train around Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

The Role:
- Deliver outstanding courses in Animal Care and Employability to a variety of learners aged 16 years plus, from diverse backgrounds as part of the framework. 
- Raise the achievement of all learners
- Challenge all practices and procedures within own role and throughout the organisation, to contribute to and ensure continuous improvement and quality. 

Key Responsibilities include: 
- Prepare and develop outstanding and innovative lesson plans to  meet the needs of a diverse range of learners and to design and to deliver group activities that motivate learners to aspire and achieve and prepare to work
- To mark work and maintain learner records 
-  To keep timely and accurate attendance records, making full use of electronic equipment where available.
- Undertake regular reviews on all learners and record progress on the learner journey
- Ensure all learners are provided with relevant information regarding the aims, objectives and activities of the programme and that support is tailored to individual learners ensuring all learners reach their maximum potential. 

Person Specification 

- Up to date occupational experience in Animal Care and / or an Animal Care qualification at level 3 or above 
- A teaching qualification 
- GCSE English Language at grade A – C or equivalent 
- Flexibility 
- Driving licence and own transport. 

The following would be helpful:
- Experience of teaching and supporting learners with special educational needs 
- TAQA assessor award or equivalent
