Job Title: Trainer - Electrical Engineering


Location: Chesterfield (with travel to other locations as required)


Salary: Up to £35,000 (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

Duties include:

  • Assess and support learners working towards a range of Level 2 and Level 3 Qualifications / Short Courses in Electrical Engineering.
  • Deliver training within classroom / workshop environment, covering electrical maintenance, inspection and testing etc.
  • The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train learners in order to help them realise their potential.
  • Identify learner’s strengths and weakness’ through initial assessment and support them accordingly
  • The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Keep up to date with changes within the Electrical Engineering sector.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of delivering Training within Electrical Engineering (Installation, Maintenance, Inspections, Testing etc)
  • Must hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching qualification (PTLLS / AET or above).
  • Hold a recognised / relevant Electrical Engineering qualification at Level 3
  • Hold occupational competency of working within Electrical Engineering - Installation and Maintenance.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Hold a recognised Assessor award (D32, A1, TAQA, CAVA).

Personal Skills:

  • Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
