Fareham College offers brand new state of the art facilities comprised of workshops, teaching classrooms, learning resource centres, restaurants, a theatre, a hair & beauty salon and associated facilities. The Students and Improvement Department is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with experience of careers advice and guidance.

Role Purpose

The Outreach and Events Coordinator will improve recruitment through maintaining and developing relationships with external stakeholders. proving recruitment through maintaining and developing relationships with external stakeholders.

Duties

* Manage, develop and maintain the relationships with schools, other Colleges, HEI's, EBP and other stakeholders as appropriate, in conjunction with other support staff and curriculum areas
* Organise internal taster events for schools and other agencies as appropriate to support engagement
* Manage the recruitment to the College Extra programme, working in conjunction with the Careers Centre Coordinator and curriculum staff as appropriate
* Support the transition work with schools and other agencies, ensuring all potential students have a sound transition into the College, through capturing intelligence pre entry and identifying support in advance of students joining the College. This will involve working in close conjunction with the Transitions and Inclusion Officer.
* Report on key trends and work closely with the marketing team, curriculum teams and other student support coordinators, to identify where further improvements to service can be made.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required

* Degree or equivalent (In a discipline such as marketing or business)
* Recent and relevant experience of providing careers education, information, advice and guidance
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse communities.
