Job Title: Health and Social Care Assessor – (Level 5)

Location: Candidates must be flexible with travel across Woking and Twickenham

Salary: £26,500 - £29,700 (Salary dependent upon location and experience – this will be discussed during screening)

*To receive the higher end of the salary, candidates must hold a recognised teaching qualification level 3 or above*

Full training and support will be given to Trainee and Qualified Assessors to achieve their Level 3 Award in Education & Training
Essential Criteria:

  • Hold own level 3 qualification or above in Health and Social Care.
  • Hold solid occupational experience of working as a Senior Carer / Team Leader / Care Manager within Residential or Domiciliary Care environment (Elderly care).
  • Must have experience of working within a variety of settings including; Health and Social Care (elderly setting), Dementia care and Learning Disabilities.
  • Confident to support with the delivery of Functional Skills where required (Maths and English to level 2)
  • IT Literate
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours due to some learners working shifts.


  • Assess and support learners through Level 5 Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care.
  • Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Level 5 Care Apprenticeship.
  • Plan and deliver effective and engaging training and assessment based on individual learner needs.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Hold own Level 3 in Education & Training (PTLLS, AET or above / equivalent).
  • Ideally hold recognised Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/33).
  • Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care level 5.
