OVERVIEW

Our client is a prestigious Training Provider organisation who support businesses throughout Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.

They currently have an exciting new vacancy for a Learner Engagement Officer to join their team based in Ripley, North Derbyshire.

The Learner Engagement Officer will be responsible for:

  • Offering advice and guidance to individuals and groups and engage referrals on a monthly basis onto the organisations’ dedicated programmes of learning. 
  • Building and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of local referral agencies and employers to promote skills required for employment and upskilling.
  • Working with agencies who assist the un-employed, including job centres to promote learners gaining the necessary skills to gain meaningful employment.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Provide advice and guidance to individuals and learners on the correct course to enrol on of all ages and employed or un-employed
  • Conduct the correct paperwork required when signing up learners onto programmes
  • Conduct learner initial assessments and maintain relationships with learners at all stages whilst on programme
  • Arrange suitable course dates with learners and ensure that they attend when required.
  • Build a good rapport with each learner
  • Deliver monthly targets as set out by the company
  • Follow up leads in a timely fashion
  • Be able to hit the ground running and be able to work on one’s own initiative
  • Attend careers fairs with local colleges and universities and promote the company’s programmes

PERSON SPEC:

  • We are seeking candidates with:
  • Sales experience (ideally working in a similar Learner Engagement role)
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • A good understanding of the Adult Education Budget and other funding, eligibility requirements
  • A Full driving licence and roadworthy vehicle
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills 
  • A professional attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) qualification Level 2 minimum (desirable)
  • First Aid at work certificate (desirable)
  • IOSH (or equivalent) Health and Safety qualification (desirable)
Ripley, Derbyshire is commutable from Chesterfield, Derby, Matlock, Ashfield, Mansfield and Worksop
