Job Title: Health and Social Care Assessor


Location: West Midlands – Must be flexible with travel


Salary: £17,000 - £21,000 (Dependent upon qualifications and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent


Duties include:

  • Assess and support learners working towards full Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care levels 2, 3 (Level 5 delivery if competent).
  • Deliver full training and support learners through their Functional Skills - Maths, English & ICT to level 2.
  • Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship/QCF qualifications.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.
  • Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care levels 2 and 3.
  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills (Maths / English / ICT) up to level 2.
  • Hold strong occupational experience in Health & Social Care.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel.

Desirable Criteria: 

  • Ideally hold own NVQ level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. 
  • Ideally hold own Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care and/or delivery experience.

Personal Skills: 

  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
