We have a vacancies which may be required to work at both CEMAST in Lee on Solent, and Fareham College in Fareham.

The College has a number of students with a wide range of additional support needs. The age range encompasses 14 years to the mature adult learner. The job is stimulating and challenging and immensely rewarding.

You may be working with individuals or small groups according to need. You will be responsible for ensuring students have the opportunity to maximize their learning potential. Learning Support Assistants provide in-class support for individuals and small groups and they provide support outside of class in the Study Centre. Learning Support Assistants work as part of a flexible, responsive team and routine administration is part of the post.

You will need to have a Level 3 qualification in Literacy and Level 2 qualification in Numeracy as an essential requirement. You will need to be able to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. It is essential that you are able to interact well with young people and that you have excellent communication and listening skills.

Fareham College is the pre-eminent provider of further education and professional training in the Fareham and Gosport Area. We provide a wide range of vocational, academic, and occupational courses to 14-19 year-old students and to adult learners.
