POSITION: Permanent Art and Design Teacher/ Art NQT

LOCATION: Inner London Borough of Barking & Dagenham

TRANSPORT: 10 minutes’ walk to the nearest train station

PERSON: A Newly Qualified Art Teacher graded as ‘good’ or better (Art NQT)

START DATE: September start – Early start an option

SALARY: £28,660 to £47,298 per annum


The school is in the East London borough of Barking & Dagenham. The school is looking for an Art Teacher to become a part of his fantastic Art department. You must have been graded as a ‘good’ Art teacher as a minimum standard. The schools is keen to appoint an Art Teacher that is clearly enthusiastic, passionate and motivated.

The successful teacher must have: 

·         A track record of teaching Art and Design within the curriculum, along with French also

·         An excellent knowledge and understanding of the value of using progress data on pupil performance to inform teaching and learning will be integral to driving student performance and attainment, along with delivering effective outcomes for all 

·         As a qualified MFL Teacher, you must be passionate about your subject and make good use of this passion to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities 

·         Be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent 

·         Ability to teach Spanish/French up to Key Stage 4 

·         Have excellent inter-personal and organisational skills 

·         Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management and committed to ensuring all students succeed and fulfil their potential 

·          Ability to demonstrate a range of innovative teaching and learning strategies 

·         Hold an Enhanced DBS (A full DBS check for the successful candidate).
