Principal Teachers are currently looking for an experienced School Technician to support the Design and Technology department of a secondary school in the York area. The role is available on a full time, long term basis with immediate effect. Applicants must have experience working within a school setting and must be willing to play a vital role in the successful running of the DT department. The successful candidate will be required to complete routine maintenance on resources and machines in the technology department, including for wood work and metal work.

The successful candidate must:

* Have experience of working as a School Technician within a school
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
* Have knowledge of CAD/CAM experience would be advantageous
* Have enthusiasm for the role
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds

To be eligible to apply for this post, you must:

* Be eligibile to work in the UK
* Be able to provide 2 teaching references covering the last 2 years
* Hold a UK Driving License (desirable)
