Innovate Awarding is an End-point Assessment Organisation approved to deliver end-point assessment for 17 standards in six sectors.

We are now recruiting Assessment Team Leaders to lead a team of end-point assessors and manage the internal quality assurance and standardisation of end-point assessment outcomes and results, the Assessor Team Leader is responsible for:

Key responsibilities:

* Supporting the development and delivery of Training and standardisation activities
* Supporting the Sector Product Manager for the sector in the recruitment process for end-point assessors
* In conjunction with the Sector Product Manager ensuring requests for information and sampling of apprentices work is available to the EQA organisation in a timely fashion and participating in any external quality insurance activity as required by IAO and the relevant responsible body
* Ensuring end-point assessments are conducted fairly and that assessments are valid, reliable and consistent.
* Ensuring End-point assessors are competent in meeting both occupational and assessment criteria requirements
* Ensuring assessments are planned, communicated and executed fairly
* Quality assuring end-point assessments with planned internal quality assurance activity, including both desk based and ‘live’ quality assurance activity.
* Ensuring on-demand tests are correctly invigilated in line with IAO process
* Reviewing of End-point assessors annual adherence to CPD requirements
* Shadowing and cross checking of End-point assessors
* Preparing for and adhere to any quality assurance activities
* Ensuring agreed procedures are being followed for recording, storing and maintaining confidentiality of information in a timely manner
* Practice standardised assessment principles set out by IAO
* Ensuring no conflicts of interest or potential conflicts of interest exist which could adversely influence judgment, or prevent an objective independent view
* Acquiring and maintaining up to date knowledge of the occupational area and maintaining a record of evidence of your continuous professional development (CPD)
* Where required, carrying out end-point assessments where necessary based on demand and absences
* Provide reports on end-point assessment activity
* Risk managing the end-point assessor team
* Working in line with IAO policies at all times.

Key knowledge and skills

* Have current, relevant occupational expertise and knowledge, at the relevant level of the occupational area(s) you are assessing, which has been gained through ‘hands on’ experience in the industry.
* Have experience within a work based learning environment and the management and support of assessors.
* Have excellent knowledge and understanding of the apprenticeship standard as set out in the industry set Grading Criteria
* Hold a recognised current workplace assessment qualification
* Hold a recognised current internal quality assurance qualification
