We're looking for someone with a broad range of trade skills within the building industry, such as Carpentry, Joinery, Painting & Decorating and Bricklaying, etc. To be successful in this role you'll demonstrate sparkling skills in communication and your ability to really engage young people. If you already possess teaching/assessing qualifications, great! However, as long as you have the industry experience and relevant trade qualifications, and a real desire to share your knowledge and help prepare students for apprenticeships, you could be considered! On offer is an attractive salary and 12 WEEKS HOLIDAY A YEAR as you'll only be working term time, benefits package plus excellent training and prospects! Construction Trainer/Tutor : The essentials.

• Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications (at Level 2 or Above)
• Construction qualification at Level 2 & 3 (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Painting and decorating, Joinery, Multi-skilled Construction)
• Full UK driving licence and use of own car

Construction Trainer/Tutor : Your experience.

• Strong occupational background and knowledge within construction (Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Bricklaying)
• Minimum 12 months assessing or teaching experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Accurate report writing and record keeping skills
• Maintaining records of learners progress

Construction Trainer/Tutor : The desirables.

• Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1, TAQA, CAVA)
• Experience delivering Construction qualifications as a Teacher or Assessor up to levels 2 & 3

Construction Trainer/Tutor : The organisation.

• You would be joining a strong and motivated team, with an OFSTED 'Good' graded academy, who have been successful in gaining multi-academy trust status. They offer a wide range of qualifications and courses including GCSEs, BTECs, OCR Nationals, NVQs as well as apprenticeships and Skills For Life programs to a range of students between the ages of 14-19. They also have a newly established construction department which offers the Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.

Construction Trainer/Tutor : The role.

• Responsible for delivering multi-trade Construction qualifications up to BTEC Levels 2 & 3 covering different trades such as Carpentry, Joinery, Painting and Decorating and Bricklaying to a group of students aged between 14-19.
• Sharing your industry experience and knowledge to prepare students for apprenticeships and embedding the company's vision of the Skills For Life program.
• Preparing and writing up reports on the students' progress.
• £22,000-£33,000 per annum salary
