As and when casual contract

Pioneer is a very successful special school providing for children and young people between the ages of 3 to 19 with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties. We have purpose built facilities and an opportunity has arisen to join the staff in this exciting environment.

We are looking to recruit to our team of Relief Learning Support Assistants to work on a casual as and when basis. Successful applicants will be required to work in partnership with class teachers to support pupils' learning in line with codes of practice and school policies and procedures.

In addition successful applicants will be required to attend to pupils' personal needs, helping with social, welfare, care and health matters, which may include toileting, dressing, feeding and mobility.

These positions have the same responsibility as our contracted staff. Relief work patterns vary depending on need and how much you wish to work.

All shortlisted candidates will be required to take a basic numeracy and literacy test.

To become part of this team it would be advantageous if you have experience of working with children and/or previous experience of SEN children.

As the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners - to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them. In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes. You will also be entitled to the following benefits: a health cash plan, vehicle affinity scheme and childcare vouchers.
