Principal Teachers are seeking to recruit secondary qualified teachers to complete general cover supply work in secondary schools within the Thornaby/Stockton areas. The successful applicants will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and may have a specialism in any secondary subject/discipline. You will not be expected to be a specialist in every subject on general cover supply and many of our teachers thrive on this aspect as it allows them to experience great variety in their role. You will be required to have a flexible approach to work and be confident to manage behaviour effectively. We are currently experiencing a very high demand for Secondary Teachers within the Thornaby/Stockton areas meaning we can keep you busy with day to day, ad hoc and short term supply assignments. These may be on a full time or part time basis, which can be negotiated around your schedule, should you have other commitments. The successful applicant will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Previous experience of teaching in the UK
* Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for your subject specialism
* Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
* Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
* A commitment to improving attainment for all students
* A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
