Looking to forge a new career? We're seeking a skilled Fabrication & Welding Trainer/Assessor to deliver qualifications to learners within the workplace in the East Midlands region. With occupational competency in the industry as a “time-served” Welder, you’ll have already attained teaching qualifications, and now you’re looking to use your skills and experience to deliver training to the next generation. Fabrication & Welding Trainer/Assessor: The essentials.

• A relevant Fabrication and/or Welding qualification
• Teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd)
• Assessor qualification (A1, D32, TAQA)
• Literacy & Numeracy qualifications (at Level 2 or above)
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• An approachable demeanour with the ability to manage and mentor learners
• Excellent organisational skills
• Flexibility
• Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
• Full UK driving licence and use of own car

Fabrication & Welding Trainer/Assessor: Your experience.

• Apprentice time served
• Occupational history and competence within the Welding & Fabrication industry
• Experienced in all welding processes
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Minimum 12 months training and/or assessing experience
• Experience in a similar role
• A proven track record of meeting / exceeding targets

Fabrication & Welding Trainer/Assessor: The role.

• This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well respected and established organisation to deliver Welding & Fabrication qualifications
• You will be responsible for the delivery of Welding & Fabrication qualifications to learners within the academy
• Predominantly based at the academy in Nottingham but with some travel to visit learners within the workplace in the East Midlands region
• You will be a time served apprentice with a passion for teaching the next generation of Welders
• You will be working closely with the Training Academy Manager to lead the apprenticeship division, bringing ideas to the table to ensure learners are motivated to complete their qualifications
• £26k-£35k p/a (negotiable for exceptional candidates)
• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
• Company pension
• A DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to commencement of role is required.
