Mechanical Trainer/Assessor (Machinist Specialism): The essentials.

• Hold a level three qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills
• Full UK driving licence and use of own car

Mechanical Trainer/Assessor (Machinist Specialism): Your experience.

• Have a minimum of three years Mechanical experience in industry.
• Competent in domestic or industrial installation & maintenance, with proven knowledge and experience on plant and process control systems would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Have a sound knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles
• Excellent communication skills

Mechanical Trainer/Assessor (Machinist Specialism): The desirables.

• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1,TAQA, CAVA...)
• Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• Has experience of delivering and developing Mechanical Engineering courses

Mechanical Trainer/Assessor (Machinist Specialism): The organisation.

• The client is an Ofsted Outstanding Grade 1 training organisation, based in Cumbria. The company was established in June 2000 by 5 well know local partner companies within the energy and engineering sectors. The client has a fantastic success rate with over 98% of apprentices progressing into full time employment.
• Their learners include; Apprentices, Adult learners, Higher Education learners and other corporate learners on short courses. They have five modern training centres across Cumbria with classrooms, workshops and IT suites to complete learners' experience.

Mechanical Trainer/Assessor (Machinist Specialism): The role.

• To deliver and assess Mechanical Engineering courses up to and including level three.
• To develop and maintain the current Mechanical Engineering course material including lesson plans and schemes of work for a range of courses.
• Assist in assessing, changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
• Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures. (ILP etc).
• To review course content and delivery methods on a regular basis.
• £28k-£31,180 per annum dependant on qualifications & experience plus Attractive benefits package
