Principal Teachers are seeking to recruit a qualified KS2 Primary Teacher on behalf of a primary school in Ripon. The Head Teacher has approached PT to assist in the school’s search for a Year 5/6 teacher to commence a long term, full time role from January 2018. The role is expected to progress into the summer term of 2018 and so the successful applicant will need to be flexible to continue on an ongoing basis. The KS2 team require an enthusiastic and driven Teacher with experience of teaching upper KS2 and delivering Year 6 SATs. Within this smaller than average primary school, you will required to plan and deliver an enriching and inspiring curriculum, to motivate learners of all abilities to achieve their full potential and drive SATs results forward. You will have access to a wealth of resources and facilities to be able to making learning fun and create a purposeful learning environment. You must be able to cater to the needs of a diverse class including SEN students.

This small, well reputed school is based on the outskirts of Ripon. The successful applicant will be required to commit to participating in the wider aspects of school life including school trips and extra curricular activities. You will be required to work effectively as part of a team and work towards the same goals and ethos. Staff are very well respected in the local community and you will become part of a thriving KS2 team. Applications are welcome from NQTs as well as more experienced teachers.

The successful applicant will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Previous experience of teaching in the UK
* Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS2
* Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
* Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
* A commitment to improving attainment for all students
* A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
