My client is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Design and Technology to grow and flourish with the successful department. The successful candidate will be required to teach in both KS3 and KS4. The students are encouraged to solve practical problems through learning the skills of research, planning, making, testing and evaluating. The students study a rotating pattern of technology subjects in each term covering Food and Nutrition, Core skills and knowledge and material specialism’s including textiles, timber, metals and polymers.

You will Teacher of DT:

*Plan, prepare and teach lessons of the highest quality
*Use the resources of the subject in an effective and imaginative way
*Motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work
*Contribute to the writing and implementation of the subject’s Development Plan
*Set high expectations for students behaviour, learning and motivation
*Respond to professional development opportunities and work within the school’s Continuing Professional Development Framework, including ICT developments
*Ensure that Health and Safety policies and practices are in place
*Participate in the pastoral organisation of the school as a form tutor, as required
*Support departmental and school approaches to assessment, recording and reporting

Minimum requirements Teacher of DT:

*QTS, Degree; PGCE or equivalent qualification
*Experience teaching KS3 & KS4
*Evidence of professional development
