I am currently working with a SEND School in Durham who require an experienced behaviour support worker to work both 1:1 and with a small group of children. The school caters for pupils who have SEMH and need extra support on a day to day basis to help get them re integrated into mainstream school. Experience of working with young people aged between 11-16 is essential

The school are willing to accept applications from people who have experience not just within a school setting, they are interested in applicants who have a sports background and any sporting qualifications will be a huge advantage.

The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of supporting pupils with a wide range of SEMH and challenging behaviour
- Be able to demonstrate experience of supporting the delivery of a personalised curriculum.
- Support teachers in the assessment of pupil progress
- Demonstrate knowledge of pupil's developmental needs.
- Be a consistently good/outstanding practitioner.
- Be committed, flexible and able to motivate students of all abilities.
- Be passionate about developing the whole child.
- Have high expectations of pupils.
