This is a Government funded Apprenticeship; the successful candidate will be working towards a Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 2 or 3.

C James is a recruitment and search company based in the heart of the City of London. They are a small business focused on Corporate & Investment Banking clients and employees. Helping employers find new employees, as well as helping potential employees find employment.

Key Responsibilities:
• To help grow the business and work on all aspects of the recruitment process.
• To undertake administration tasks necessary to manage and document the day to day business.
• Personal Assistant “style” activities to senior staff, learning and following how a recruitment business is operated.
• Extensive database operation - saving and renaming of CVs, general pdf and word document amendment.
• Cut and paste files from excel and the internet into the database.
• Direct candidate contact by email and phone – checking dates and information on the CV.
• Arranging interviews and confirming back to the client.
• Managing job websites – typing out roles and managing responses.
• Candidate search via web advertising, LinkedIn and database.
• Ad hoc projects.

Qualities Required:
• A genuine interest in recruitment and financial services (banking), ideally some experience of recruitment and processes.
• A reasonable academic background.
• The ability to work “under their own steam”, a self-motivated person – ESSENTIAL.
• A personality fit with the existing team (open, honest, straight talking, loyal, calm, hard-working – “not a clock watcher”).
• The confidence to speak to all walks of life and backgrounds.
• Good MS Word & Excel skills (this will be tested). The ability to use the web and social media and to interact between software.
• Entrepreneurial flair.

Working Week:
• 9.30am – 5.30pm.
• Monday – Friday.
• £3.50 per hour.

The APPRENTICESHIP programme will last for 12 months and you will achieve a Level 2 or 3 Business Administration QCF qualification, Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT (if required) and Level 1 Employee Rights and Responsibilities. You will be based in the employer's office so you gain 12 months’ work experience and the opportunity to interview for a permanent role within the company at the end of a successful APPRENTICESHIP.

This is an APPRENTICESHIP and Government Funding is only available for applicants 16-24 years old.
