Director of Operations (Apprenticeships)

Salary up to £40k

Our client is an Ofsted Grade 1 Training provider, operating across England.

They deliver Apprenticeships and Commercial Training across England to employers who want to upgrade the skills and qualifications of their workforce.

Reporting to the Chief Executive you will lead the development of the organisation through a critical period You will manage the delivery of all aspects of work based learning programmes though achieving agreed targets and KPIs, ensuring quality and maintaining high levels of employer and learner satisfaction. The post holder will be responsible for the allocation, monitoring, caseloads, volumes and success rates for all programmes.

Main duties of the role will include:

* Lead the work of the Operational Teams to ensure the achievement of all Business Objectives
* Develop new and repeat business through the Care/Commercial/Retail Teams
* Responsible for staff Appraisals/ CPD development for all assessing staff, ensuring the effective deployment of staff to meet the organisational objectives.
* Ensure teams understand the commercial side of the business and are effectively delivering their caseloads in order to maintain our excellent success rates and to improve timely outcomes
* Work towards a new delivery team covering L&M, recruit new team members and resolve people issues speedily and effectively
* Own key measures on our balanced scorecard and report on progress at Management and Board meetings
* Support the other Directors with profiling and re-profiling activities for all government funded contracts to ensure accurate delivery against profile
* Support other Directors on national business development, pitches for new levy work etc
* Support Internal Quality Assurance including additional auditing activities to ensure consistency across the team

The ideal candidate will need to have:

* Experience as a qualified Assessor
* Experience in IQA
* Strong communication skills
* Exceptional leadership and management credentials
* Apprenticeship funding knowledge is highly desirable.
* A team player with experience of managing and leading a team.
* Ability to coordinate and quality assure multiple work steams and priorities
* Experienced in process design and improvement
* Excellent attention to detail
